What happens during an audition?

Auditions are very low-pressure, we really just want to get to know you! We'll guide you through some basic voice exercises, and then you'll have the chance to sing a verse and chorus of your chosen song for us. The entire audition won’t take longer than 10 minutes. Individuals interested in auditioning only need to attend one audition and can come anytime within the session.

What do rehearsals look like?

We meet three times a week for two hours each rehearsal. We do basic warm-ups, learn new songs together, and prepare for shows on campus and in the Greater Boston area. It’s a great time!

Can graduate students audition?

Unfortunately, we're exclusively an undergraduate group and are unable to consider graduate students for auditions.

Do I need any prior singing experience?

Nope! Many of our group members have actually never had experience singing or performing in groups before joining the Dynamics.

Can I audition for multiple a cappella groups?

Students interested in auditioning can audition for as many groups as they want. However, students can only attend one callback. Our callback list will be posted on Instagram shortly after the last round of general auditions, and we will send out an email to all auditionees. Callbacks usually take place the evening after the last round of general auditions. Our final list will be posted on Instagram the morning after callbacks.

What if I can’t make any of the general audition dates?

Please reach out to our email bcdynamics@bc.edu or bostoncollegedynamics@gmail.com. We encourage everyone to audition, so let us know if there are extenuating circumstances. However, all individuals who want to be considered must attend callbacks.
